The Kuwaiti-Egyptian work team on economy, trade and investment on Monday held its second meeting in Cairo today.
Leading the Kuwaiti side, Assistant Undersecretary for Foreign Trade and International Organizations Affairs at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Nimr Fahad Al-Malik Al-Sabah, stressed the significance of the work team for the good of both countries.
Sheikh Nimr confirmed to KUNA Kuwait's keenness on Egypt's political and economic stability.
The first meeting of the joint work team was held in September, as it was previously agreed upon between Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and his counterpart in the former Egyptian government Nabil Fahmi, on the priorities of Kuwaiti economic support to Egypt.
Sheikh Nimr lauded the facilities offered by the Egyptian officials to complete the amendments to the bilateral agreement on trade and industrial cooperation.
The proposed agreement aims at enhancing bilateral trade, boosting ties between the private sector in both countries and exchanging visits by economic delegations.
Today's meeting also reviewed an MOU for organizing joint fairs, he said, hoping it would be "rapidly" accomplished and inked to be submitted to a joint ministerial meeting to be held in Kuwait.
The Kuwaiti side will propose that the third meeting of the team would be held in Kuwait, Sheikh Nimr told KUNA.
