Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah opened the "Mubarakiya Festival" Sunday, an event held downtown aimed at supporting Kuwaiti youth activities, organized on sidelines of Kuwait's national days celebrations.
Sheikh Salman, speaking to KUNA, thanked His Highness the Amir for supporting and sponsoring the February 1-9 festival, held for the second straight year, which reflected the keenness of His Highness the Amir on supporting Kuwaiti boys and girls.
He said the Mubarakiya Festival was a non-profit event aimed at marketing products of Kuwaiti youths and establishing contacts with the market and society.
Initiatives of Kuwaiti youth that are sponsored and supported by the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs contributed to the launch of development projects, said Sheikh Salman.
The minister said the government should continue the support of serious Kuwaiti initiatives and projects, citing the KD-two-billion fund to support SMEs.
