
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) announced on Monday a 6% increase in passenger traffic at Kuwait International Airport and 8% and 2% increase in aircraft movements and cargo activity, respectively, during the month of July.
DGCA's latest statistcs show that the total number of passengers who passed through the airport amounted to 776,144 during the month of July; incoming passengers reached 295,998 while outgoing travelers were 348,799.
The number of aircraft movement, meanwhile, rose to 7,279 in July, compared to 6,727 of that of last year. The number of incoming and outgoing commercial flights reached 6,799 compared to those of 6,295 in July of 2013.
Moreover, cargo activity has seen a rise of 2% (i.e 15.8 million kg) campared to the 15.5 million kg in 2013.
