
A third plane-load of relief aid, consisting of 20 tons of medicine, sent by the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) to the Palestinian people in Gaza, touched down here on Tuesday.
With this shipment, KRCS will have sent up to 40 tons of relief aid to the beleaguered people in Gaza, said KRCS mission chief here in Cairo, Khaled Al-Zaid,in a statement to KUNA.
He said KRCS volunteers were ready to deliver the relief aid to the Palestinian health ministry officials to be distributed in Gaza, in coordination with Egyptian authorities at Rafah crossing. A KRCS field team is currently in the city of Aresh in Egypt, working with Kuwait embassy officials and the Egyptian Red Crescent Society to ensure the safe delivery of the relief aid.
Since the start of the onslaught on Gaza, KRCS has been active in sending foodstuff, medicine, blankets, and fuel to the shaken people of Gaza.
