Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab received on Monday Head of the Egyptian-American Political Action Committee Dr Maged Riyadh.
During the meeting, Dr Riyadh said some Egyptians living in the US have established "Long Live Egypt" association to collect donations for charity projects in Egypt.
He said the idea of the association was raised by the Egyptian premier during his recent visit to the US.
He said the donated funds will be channeled for the establishment of hospitals, schools and other charity works.
Dr Riyadh also said donors will be exempted from taxes in the US after coordination with the American authorities.
Dr Riyadh is lending his tireless support to a foundation named the Egyptian-American Political Action Committee, which lobbies in the US to serve Egyptian national interests.
Ambassador Ahmed Farouk, the Egyptian consul, is another of the main supporters of this foundation.
