Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab chaired a meeting of the ministerial committee of the Suez Canal Development project in Ismailia Tuesday.
The meeting focused on executive steps to implement the project.
Mahlab then attended a press conference to announce the winner of the Suez Canal bid.
Dar al-Handasah branches in Egypt and Bahrain should submit an outline for the project within six to eight months of contract date.
The outline should include logistics activities, industrial projects, and value-added activities to be implemented on the north and south banks of the canal.
The consortium will act in coordination with the Armed Forces' Engineering Authority.
A representative of Dar al-Handasah said he very much appreciated Egypt's trust, stressing the consortium offered its best to win the bid.
