Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab met Monday with a team of Bahrain-headquartered Terra Sola Group for solar power generation in the presence of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) governor along with the ministers of electricity, trade, planing, finance, supply and international cooperation.
The Group announced that it is ready to carry out a project in Egypt to develop solar photovoltaic, with investments worth 3.5 billion pounds.
During the meeting, Mahlab underlined the importance of the project presented by the Group, especially within the framework of the government's plan to implement programs in the electricity sector in a way which meets Egypt's needs in development sectors.
At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached to hold another meeting following Egypt's economic conference, which will be held in Sharm el Sheikh to finalize the technical and financial studies of the project.
