Mahlab opens national population conference

Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab opens Thursday the conference of the national strategy of population and development 2015-2030 in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Population and Basira center in the presence of some ministers and governors.
Basira Center Director Maged Othman said in statements Wednesday the conference aims at facing the challenges represented in the increase of population where more than two million babies are born every year.
He said the conference will focus on decreasing the birth rate to achieve economic growth and social justice .
