Manpower Minister Gamal Serour met Sunday with the Director of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Middle East and North Africa Office Carmela Godeau.
The two sides discussed means of enhancing joint cooperation to provide job opportunities for youth via qualifying training centers affiliated to the ministry to overcome the unemployment phenomenon in the country and curb the migration of youth.
Godeau suggested allocating some offices to get the youth acquainted with the dangers of migration and provide suitable job opportunities for them.
Serour hoped that the organization can help Egypt during the coming phase in overcoming the illegal migration.
For her part, Godeau hailed the role played by Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey in receiving the Syrian refugees and providing work for them.
