Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Mohamed Mebarki pled Monday here for professional academic training, while defending the training system LMD.
Speaking at the opening of the National Conference on Universities, the minister regretted that "only 10%" professional training offers are provided by universities.
Also, he called the university actors for the "opening of new training programmes" in line with "education standards and the socio-economic requirements,” underlining that this is one of the main “goals” of the university reform.
Calling the "improvement of the quality" of university training a "priority", the minister mentioned further means like the reform of teaching programmes and methods, the improvement of the pedagogic supervision and the reinforcement of the relation between the university and the socio-economic world.
