The meetings of the GCC Customs Union and the first annual meeting of the Customs Union and the Chambers Union of the GCC States started Saturday in Bahrain.During the two-day meetings, the directors of customs in the GCC will discuss a number of issues including studying ways of distributing customs revenue, protection of goods through customs and the protection of local suppliers.The Customs Union also held the first annual meeting of the Customs Union and the Chambers Union of the GCC States in implementation of the GCC Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee decision in its meeting no. 94. The meeting aims at finding solutions to the challenges that faces the trade sector in the GCC.
