The Industry and Trade Ministry will apply a comprehensive plan to assess and monitor quality indexes of Egyptian products, said Minister Mounir Fakhri Abdel Nour.
During a visit of the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality (EOS), Abdel Nour said the ministry will carry out programs to develop and support local production sides and factory capacities to improve the quality of products and increase their internal and external competitiveness.
Specifications have become the main standard not only for exporting Egyptian products but also preventing the entrance of poor and shoddy goods to the local market, he said while chairing the first meeting of the national council for ensuring quality.
