Found of Egypt Network for Integrated Development (ENID) Heba Handoussa asserted that the most poor villages are in southern Upper Egypt.
These remarks came in a session on economic merging, the role of the small and medium enterprises and vocational training during the third day of Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC).
Handoussa called on businessmen to review feasibility studies implemented in Upper Egypt so that they would implement these projects in other places in Egypt.
The projects implemented include a project on establishing an integrated fish farm that uses solar energy inside the water, she said, adding that the working women represent 32% of the manpower including 10% in Upper Egypt.
