Following directives from the leadership to enhance the standard of living of citizens and ensure them decent living conditions, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Dr. Jumaa bin Ahmed Al-Kaabi issued an edict slashing municipal fees for 470 Bahraini tenant families.
He also issued a second edict exempting 32 other civil Bahraini citizens from paying taxes for humanitarian reasons after studying their social conditions.
Dr. Ka’abi explained that the two edicts are in line with the leadership’s directives to alleviate the living costs and enhance the citizens' welfare through low municipal fees according to their income.
They also add to other edicts exempting low-income citizens from paying fees or dropping their old debts, he said.
