
National Ceramics and Stained Glass Fair opened Monday at the Moufdi Zakaria Palace of Culture in Algiers, bringing together craftsmen from various parts of the country to display their products exchange their experiences until August 31st.
More than 80 ceramists, glassware decorators, national supporting agencies, specialized associations, raw material providers and representatives of the Fine Art School are participating in the event.
According to organizers, the fair will allow craftsmen to take part in the national contest for the best product 2014, scheduled for November to mark the National Craft Industry Day.
The event's programme includes a training workshop on ceramics, stained glass and pottery and a contest on children's best drawing.
The fair was inaugurated by Minister of Tourism and Craft Industry, Nouria Yamina Zerhouni, in the presence of Minister of Professional Training and Education Nouredine Bedoui, Minister of Culture Nadia Labidi and Deputy Minister for Craft Industry Aicha Tagabou.
