The first phase of the New Cairo project Cairo Festival City will secure 4,000 permanent job opportunities and the figure will increase with the completion of the second phase, CEO of Al-Futtaim Real Estate Company Mohamed el-Mekkawi said Tuesday. The project has provided 5,000 jobs since its beginning four years ago in addition to 15,000 indirect job opportunities, he said in statements on the sidelines of the opening of the first phase of the project in the presence of Minister of Industry and Trade Mounir Fakhri Abdennour on behalf of the prime minister. The project faced some difficulties particularly security chaos at certain times in the wake of the January 25 revolution and the curfew that followed the June 30 revolution, he added.
