Housing Minister Moustafa Madbouli unveiled on Thursday plans to float a new marina project along the North Coast during Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) to run from March 13 to 15 in the Red Sea tourist resort of Sharm el Sheikh.
The project, covering 2,800 feddans in Alamein area, will provide 14,000 jobs and would guarantee a full exploitation of the northern coast all through the year and not during summer alone, the minister said in press statements.
The resort will include residential units, hotels, sports park, water aqua, a Bedouin village, artificial lake and an area for scientific research, the minister said.
He said the projects to be raised during the Sharm el Sheikh conference will be carried out in partnership with the private sector and will cover fields of real estate investments and utilities like seawater desalination.
