
The investment certificates of the New Suez Canal project will be issued as of Monday, September 1.
The National Bank of Egypt, Banque Misr, Banque du Caire and Suez Canal Bank are the banks entitled to issue the new certificates.
The certificates will be released in 10, 100 and 1,000 Egyptian pounds, which will offer an interest rate of 12 percent paid every three months.
The banks will also issue certificates in US dollar in a category of 1,000 dollars and its multiples with an interest rate of 3.5 percent every three months.
Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt Hisham Ramez will hold a press conference on Sunday to announce the measures of issuing the certificates and laws regulating them.
