
More than 59 tonnes of cannabis resin have been seized during the first four months of 2014, up by 75 % of the seized quantity during the same period a year earlier, said the National Office for Fight against Drug and Drug Addiction (ONLDT).
"A total of 59,746.152 kg of cannabis resin were seized during the first four months of 2014 against 34, 085.448 during the same period in 2013, Interim General Manager of the ONLDT Mohamed Zouggar said in an interview with APS.
Referring to a report by the services for fight against drug, Benhalla said that “all the seized quantity of cannabis resin came from Morocco.”
A total of 331.556 grams of cocaine and 337.85 grams of heroin were seized during the same period, he added.
