Tax revenues owed to the Palestinian Authority but held by Israel will begin to flow within days now that the two sides have resolved a dispute about the matter, Palestinian media reported Saturday, citing officials.
The money will be transferred, Palestinian Minister for Civil Affairs Hussein al-Sheikh told the Palestinian news agency Maan. Israeli media also reported that the details of the transfer had been worked out.
Israel collects the money - which is levied on Palestinian imports - and transfers it to the Palestinian Authority (PA), which uses it as part of its regular budget. However, Israel blocked the transfers at the start of the year to protest the PA's decision to join the International Criminal Court.
