
The overall Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Palestine increased in September 2013 by 0.45% compared with August, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said on Thursday. Prices increased by 0.27% in Jerusalem area villages outside the Israeli annexed parts. They also increased by 0.80% in the West Bank and by 0.15% in Gaza Strip. CPI during September increased by 0.42% compared with September 2012 - 1.16% in the West Bank and by 0.87% in parts of Jerusalem, while it decreased by 1.97% in Gaza Strip. CPI increased during the first nine months of 2013 by 1.63% compared with the same period of the previous year - 2.94% in the West Bank and 1.78% in Jerusalem, while it decreased by 0.74% in Gaza Strip.
