Palestine joins World Customs Organisation

Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al Malki on Monday said that Palestine has officially joined the World Customs Organization (WCO).
In a statement, Malki said that his ministry received a formal notification of the Belgian Foreign Ministry, as the depository of the Customs Cooperation Council's Convention, of accepting Palestine's membership request.
Malki said that his country developed a strategy meant to join international institutions to consolidate the legal personality of the State of Palestine.
