
The Trade and Industry Ministry aims to double the Egyptian exports withing the upcoming six years to hit 300 billion pounds, said Head of Food Export Council (FEC) Alaa el-Bahi.
During a workshop organized Wednesday by the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce to announced facilities offered by the German Chamber in cooperation with the council, Bahi said that Egypt seeks to make use of the facilities which will be offered by Russia to its imports from Egypt.
Egypt can double its food exports, especially from olive oil, honey and dates, he added.
He, meanwhile, said that the exports of the food industries went up by 12 percent in the first eight months of the current year.
