A plane crash mock drill has been held this morning at Bahrain International Airport. The National Guard took part in the training exercise which simulates a plane crash to test the preparedness of emergency agencies and assess coordination with other relevant authorities to ensure public safety.
The participation followed directives from National Guard Commandant Lieutenant-General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al-Khalifa in a bid to enhance preparedness to deal with major emergency incidents. National Guard Director of Staff Major-General Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al-Khalifa stressed the importance of the mock drill in training leading officers on managing crises, dealing with catastrophes, drawing up contingency scenarios, making decisions and coordinating with relevant emergency agencies.
