
Prime Minister Sherif Ismail ordered giving priority to implementing urgent and strategic projects.
This remark came during a meeting chaired by Ismail and attended by the ministers of planning, housing, finance and transportation.
Ismail stressed on the importance of revising the cost of projects and benefiting from the experience of the specialized engineering offices in that field to guarantee that they will be swiftly finalized without exceeding the determined budget.
The premier gave directives to implement the water desalination ventures especially in the coastal regions.
The meeting took up also the delayed projects such the railways, medical services, housing, drinking water and garbage disposal, said the cabinet's spokesman Hossam el Qawish.
Such ventures include also establishing 43,000 housing units in 13 governorates as part of the national housing project that was declared in 2005.
