
The Cairo Airport authorities foiled three attempts to smuggle money on an Egyptian plane en route to Dubai.
General Ayman Abdel-fattah, chief of the security department at the airport, said while finalizing the travel procedures of passengers on the Egyptian plane heading for Dubai, customs officers suspected a passenger holding 6 big trays of deserts.
In searching them, half million pounds and 15 million Iraqi dinars were found.
Another smuggler hiding 400,000 pounds in newspapers in his suitcase, on board the same plane was also arrested.
A third one hiding 25,000 dollars in his bag was arrested.(MENA)
The money was confiscated and the trio were referred to public funds prosecution.
