Port Said governorate to start experiment in recycling solid waste

Minister of Urban Development Laila Iskander said Tuesday that Port Said governorate will start an experiment for the recycling of solid waste.
In statements to MENA, Iskander said the solid waste recycling is a main part of the ministry's strategy to handle the problem of waste accumulation.
She said as many as 14 investors have presented a proposal for pumping their investments in establishing 63 factories or organic fertilizers all across Egypt's provinces.
She urged consolidating efforts of the state and civil society in developing this type of industry.
