
Qatar Charity Association (QC) Saturday announced that its first humanitarian forum to support Palestinians has managed to raise a total of US$ 100 million
In a press statement today, QC said that the Forum three-day forum concluded its meetings and workshops last night in the presence of about 70 humanitarian and development organizations from some 30 countries around the world. During the closing ceremony, participants in the forum pledged 100 million dollars for relief and rehabilitation projects in occupied Palestine.
Islamic Development Bank pledged US$ 30 million, Qatar Charity US$ 20 million and The Mercy Global-Kuwait pledged US$10 million in addition to donations by several Qatari, Gulf and Arab humanitarian organizations and figures.
A number of documentaries on Palestine and the conditions' reality of the Palestinian people under siege and bombardment, especially in the Gaza Strip, and highlight the most important needs, in addition to the introductory film achievements of Qatar Charity in Palestine were also shown during the closing ceremony.
