
The State of Qatar And the Republic of Kenya have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the development of the financial sector.
The MOU was signed by HE Qatar's Minister of Finance Ali Sharif Al Emadi and Kenyan Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury Henry Rotich, who is currently visiting Qatar.
HE the Finance Minister said in remarks, following the signing ceremony, that the MOU reflects the two sides' intentions to identify future cooperation in the development of the financial sector, adding that a joint committee comprising representatives of both sides will be formed to agree on the forms of cooperation and areas of technical support in this area.
HE Al Emadi said that the MOU includes agreeing on the exchange of best practices related to the development of the financial sector, including practices and experiences of the countries which apply international standards, stressing that the signing of this MOU comes within the framework of further strengthening cooperation between the two countries and in areas of common interest.
