
Minister of Economy and Commerce said Monday that entrepreneurship will play an important role in economic development in the country.
His Excellency was speaking during second edition of the forum on the role of entrepreneurship in economic development. His Excellency said that many countries in the world looked to empower the private sector as a core component of sustainable development. HE the Minister added that Qatar will look to employ similar policies in its bid towards achieving Qatar National Vision 2030.
Furthermore, His Excellency added that encouraging youth to have their own projects helps create jobs, but more importantly, participates in diversifying the economy.
HE the Minister of Economy also stressed on the importance of education to entrepreneurship; saying that education helps polish the abilities and enhance the knowledge of individuals, ultimately aiding in development.
In the concluding remarks, HE the Minister of Economy expressed his hope that the forum produces recommendations that aids in enhancing the culture of entrepreneurship and economy diversification.
