The Ministry of Labor denied today reports that it is planning to raise the charges of recruiting domestic maids from SR 2000 to SR 2300, following the launching of electronic visa service by next Muharram (first month of the lunar year).
In a statement, the ministry's Spokesman Tayseer Al-Mufarrag said that the charges are still as fixed before at SR 2000 and that any other additional charges would be against extra optional services provided by recruitment offices.
To avoid such extra charges which would be levied by recruitment offices, the recruited laborer could opt to visit the individual recruitment office, he said, adding that the domestic housemaids electronic service is never exclusive for recruitment private companies and offices.
