President of Saudi-Moroccan Business Council and Chairman of Agriculture and Food Security Committee of Riyadh Chamber Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Hammadi stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation and investment between the business sectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Morocco in the areas of agriculture and food security, emphasizing the importance of activating King Abdullah initiative for foreign agricultural investment.
He said during the meetings of Saudi-Moroccan Business Council in Moroccan capital Rabat yesterday that due to climatic conditions surrounding the region, it is difficult for Arab countries to be able to bridge over the food deficit and rely on themselves in the provision of food, pointing out that directing investments to countries rich in water and agricultural areas can reduce Arab food shortages.
