The Saudi National Campaign for the Support of Brothers in Syria began carrying out the first stage of its food programme aimed at distributing bread for Syrian refugees in various Lebanese regions.
Bread is considered the staple regional foodstuff, emanating from the humanitarian commitment and religious duties towards Syrian refugees wherever they happen to be.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Director of the Campaign Office in Lebanon Waleed bin Ali Al-Jalal pointed out that the programme will be carried out as part of a programmed package launched by the National Campaign some weeks ago to meet the needs of Syrian refugees in Lebanon such as housing, educational, food and medical aspects, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Bread will be distributed on daily basis to Syrian refugee families who have limited income for 6-month worth 250,000 Saudi Riyals per month, SPA reported.
