
Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal, received on Sunday in Algiers, Director of the IMF's Middle East and Central Asia Department Masood Ahmed, as part of the holding in Algiers of the 38th meeting of governors of Arab central banks and monetary institutions, Prime Minister’s Office said in a communiqué.
The talks focused on the assessment of cooperation between Algeria and the IMF, called positive, the same source added.
Improving economic and financial governance at the financial and banking institutions was also one of the issues at the centre of the audience.
Attended by Mohamed Laksaci, governor of the Bank of Algeria, the audience was an opportunity to assess the situation of macro-economic performance of Algeria, the statement concluded.
