President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a meeting on Tuesday with the ministers of housing, water resources and irrigation and agriculture and the defense minister's adviser for projects.
The meeting tackled the progress in the implementation of a project to reclaim and develop one-million feddans and in a number of irrigation projects, presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef said.
The president ordered swift accomplishment of an integrated vision for the conditions required to offer reclaimed lands for investors and youths.
The irrigation minister, for his part, presented the outlines of a national project to transform from the flooding irrigation to the advanced dripping irrigation.
The president followed up assignments to improve the quality of water and curb pollution in canals and drains.
The meeting also discussed the ongoing efforts to legalize the status of the agricultural reform lands and collect the state's financial dues for using its lands.
