
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Saudi King Salman bin Abdel Aziz witnessed Friday the signing of several agreements in various fields.
Egypt and Saudi Arabia signed two agreements to establish King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud University in the city of Al Tor in South Sinai, and a residential complex project as part of King Salman's program for the development of Sinai Peninsula.
Both countries signed also deals to launch West Cairo Power Station project and develop Kasr El Aini Hospital.
The deals were signed by Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation Sahar Nasr and Saudi Finance Minister Ibrahim Assaf and chairman of the Saudi Fund for Development.
Also, Egyptian Minister of Finance Amr al Jarhi and Saudi Finance Minister Ibrahim Assaf signed an agreement to avoid double taxation and prevent tax evasion.
Egypt and Saudi Arabia also signed cooperation agreements in the fields of peaceful uses of nuclear energy, maritime transport and ports, agriculture, housing, commerce and industry.
Both countries also signed Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) in the fields of electricity, labor, protecting integrity and fighting corruption.
They also signed deals to carry out various executive programs in the fields of education and culture as well as radio and television.
Finally, Prime Minister Sherif Ismail and Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman bin Abdel Aziz signed an agreement for the delimitation of maritime border between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
