Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al Sisi on Saturday held talks with his Vietnamese counterpart Truong Tan Sang, Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said.
The meeting was held on the fringe of the two leaders' participation in Moscow's celebrations of the 70th anniversary of its victory in World War II.
During the meeting, Sisi expressed appreciation for the Vietnamese president, hailing as "friendly" the relations between Cairo and Hanoi, Youssef said.
Youssef said that the president also praised the Vietnamese participation in the Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC), stressing that Egypt seeks benefiting from Vietnam's economic expertise in various fields.
Truong Tan Sang, for his part, praised Egypt's momentum in restoring security and stability as well as economic reforms introduced by Egypt to lure more foreign investments.
The Vietnamese president stressed his country's desire to promote bilateral relations with Egypt.
