
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has stressed the need to continue efforts to control market prices and provide social protection for citizens.
In a meeting with Prime Minister Sherif Ismail Sunday, Sisi pressed for quick action to update the database system of ration cards to guarantee subsidized products reach those truly in need.
The meeting also took up the current economic situation in light of positive international reports and forecast for 2017, said presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef.
The president also called for exerting utmost efforts to quickly complete national projects implemented in cooperation with the private sector and civil society organizations, Youssef said.
