Sisi probes development of Sinai

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met Sunday head of the national agency for developing the Sinai Peninsula Shawqi Rashwan on Sunday.
The agency was established in 2012 to carry out and follow up the development scheme of the Sinai Peninsula and coordinate with state bodies to issue legislation for investment in the area, presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef said.
Rashwan presented the agency's activities and proposals to develop Sinai through the establishment of national joint stock companies in the mining field with an Armed Forces' contribution, the spokesman added.
