Prime Minister Sherif Ismail said Saturday that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi ordered the new government to act to control the market and stop price hikes.
Speaking at a press conference following Sisi's meeting with the new government, Ismail said his ministers will act to find urgent solutions to pending problems in the short run.
The government will also be implementing national projects in the long run, Ismail added.
It will act to maintain stability at the different state institutions, he told reporters.
He touched upon a government program that will be outlined to be referred to the next parliament.
Ismail stressed that corruption has no place in his government.
The government will act to guarantee that the upcoming parliamentary vote is transparent and fair, the premier said.
He made it clear that education, health and transport are top priority files for his government.
