Agriculture Minister Adel El Beltagy on Saturday said visits paid by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Arab, African and European countries opened new markets for Egyptian products.
Beltagy added that his ministry has succeeded in various fields, including the scientific research, the one-million feddans reclamation project, and controlling the fertilizers' market.
"We are committed to a timetable for completing the one-million feddans project," the minister said.
He added that Egypt hoped to achieve an increase in wheat production by 10% this year after several research experiences.
The Egyptian state bodies coordinate to provide all farmers' needs of fertilizer for the summer season, he concluded.
