
Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Khalid Abdulrahman Al Moayyad has lauded the depth of the long-standing fraternal Bahraini-Egyptian relations, affirming BCCI's keenness to take advantage of them to enhance partnership between the private sector in the two countries.
He was speaking as he met here recently the Egyptian Ambassador to Bahrain Issam Saleh Awad, in the presence of BCCI First Deputy Chairman Othman Al-Rayes and Second Deputy Chairman Jawad Yussef Al Hawaj, Board member and Chairperson of the BCCI side at the Joint Bahraini-Egyptian Business Council Afnan Rashid Al Zayani, CEO Nabil Abdulrahman Al Mahmood, as well as BCCI executive body members.
Al-Moayyad reviewed with the Egyptian Ambassador ways to develop trade ties and consolidate cooperation in all economic fields, calling for the need to name the members of the Joint Bahraini-Egyptian Business Council.
The Egyptian envoy praised Bahrain's interest in opening up new horizons of trade and economic relations.
He lauded the Kingdom's historic and honourable stances in support of his country's security and stability.
He said his country was looking forward to enhancing aspects of cooperation with Bahrain, calling for the need to increase exchanged visits between trade delegations in various sectors.
He expressed the Embassy's readiness to coordinate with BCCI in all efforts aiming to bolster trade and economic ties.
He also invited BCCI and representatives of the private sector in Bahrain to participate effectively in the three-day international economic summit in Sharm el-Sheikh starting on March 13, 2015.
