
South Sinai Governor General Khaled Foda said Wednesday President Abdel Fattah El Sisi ordered that all roads in the governorate have two-way lanes in each direction and the construction of new roads in the governorate at a total cost of EGP 1 billion.
This came during a meeting of South Sinai Executive Council that was held at the governorate's City Hall in el Tor.
Top governorate officials attended the meeting.
Foda also said the roads to be widened include the one from Ahmed Hamdy Tunnel at a length of 341 kilometers, Sharm El Sheikh to Dahab, a new road from Tor to Saint Catherine, along with four lanes on Al Salam road and Sharm El Sheikh to Saint Catherine road.
