
The Sudan Envoy to the Jeddah-based Islamic Development Bank Ambassador Ali bin Abi Talib Abdal-Rahman has urged adoption of the outcome of the Diagnostic Study for Integration of Trade into Development to facilitate accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO).
The ambassador hoped, in statement to SUNA, that the workshop came out with definite recommendations that could be implemented during a certain period with clear indicators of performance assist in Sudan to join WTO, revealing that the study has close relationship with the integration to the multi-party trade system.
Ambassador Abdal-Rahman said that Sudan status at the regional organizations and funds enables it to contribute to coordination, dialogue and cooperation through technical visions with the concerned parties in a couple of issues, particularly the programmes implemented by the Islamic Development Bank on capacity building of the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
