Electricity Minister Imad Khamis on Tuesday discussed with Iranian Vice President for International Relations Ali Saeedlou bilateral ties and means of enhancing cooperation between Syria and Iran, particularly in the field of electricity. The two sides underlined the importance of carrying out joint projects, make use of the available capabilities and remove obstacles in order to achieve more fruitful cooperation in the electrical power. During the 4-day visit to Tehran, The Minister will sign a contract with MABNA Co. to build a new power station in Syria with 450 Mega watt, and another 10-year agreement for maintenance and expand of other vital power stations in Syria.
