Syria announced Sunday that UN humanitarian aid arrived in Daraa city, implementing the Security Council Resolution No. 2165 to deliver aids to all areas in Syria.
At least 15 trucks, including 4,000 food and health baskets, arrived in Daraa to distribute them, in cooperation with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, to all areas there, Syria Arab News Agency (SANA) said.
The United Nations had earlier announced the arrival of first humanitarian aids to Syrian territories without the approval of Syrian government. UN Security Council adopted a resolution that gives an explicit mandate to UN officials to deliver aid across borders from Turkey, Jordan and Iraq to Syria without the approval of Syrian government.
