Trade and Industry Minister Tareq Qabil issued a decision on Monday on the line-up of the Egyptian side at Egypt-Iraq Business Council, under chairman of El Sewedy Electric eng. Ahmed Sadiq el Sewedy.
Under the decision, the council will start work from the date of the decision's publication in the Gazette, Qabil said in a statement, adding the council's duration is three years.
The head of the Egyptian side will refer to the trade and industry minister a periodic report every six months on the council's activities and future plans to promote interests between Egypt and Iraq.
The council's formation is out of the government's keenness on supporting Iraq's reconstruction, particularly in light of the talks held with the Iraqi industry minister during his visit to Egypt in February, he added.
