The Trade and Industry Ministry is keen on taking tough measures against all customs outlets to prevent accessing poor-quality products that don't conform with the standard specifications into the domestic market, Minister Tarek Qabil said on Wednesday.
He added that his ministry seeks to develop the measures applied to all exported and imported products.
This will help facilitate the inspection process, load and unload products easily and quickly at ports, he underlined.
About 6,821 food and industrial products samples are identical with the standard specifications while 310 food and industrial products samples are not, according to the results produced by the laboratories of the General Organization for Export and Import Control
