
Fifty truckloads of construction materials donated by Qatar entered into the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing, including 25 trucks loaded with 900 tons of cement and 25 trucks loaded with 1365 cubic meters of gravel (small pebbles), an official at the Rafah land port said. In a statement issued by (MENA) news agency last night, the official said that nine trucks loaded with 505 tons and 344 barrels of bitumen for road paving, 29 trucks loaded with 1432 tons of iron, 320 trucks loaded with 16,627 tons of cement and 6780 trucks loaded with 180,305 cubic meters of gravel had entered the Strip during that past period. The agency said that the introduction of these trucks came in accordance with the coordination between the Egyptian and Qatari authorities.
