
Tunisia got from the European Commission under five agreements signed between them a grant worth 63 million euros to finance reforms covering the judicial sector by 15 million euros, and the completion of the phase II popular districts rehabilitation by 28 million euro, as well as to support the audiovisual sector by 10 million euros.
The grant also aims to finance programmes for the promotion of equality between men and women by 7 million euro and integrated border management and international protection of immigrants by 3 million euros.
The agreements were signed in the presence of the ministers of Investment, Development and International Cooperation Yassen Ibrahim, Equipment, Housing and Territorial Development Mohamed Salah Al Arfaoui, Women, Family and Childhood Samira Marii and European Commissioner in Charge of Neighbourhood Policy Juanas Han who is currently visiting Tunisia.
